Preparing for Japan: Offerings, Energy Work & Stepping Off the Golden Trail
Updated: 1 day ago

After years of wandering through the Americas, I’m feeling called somewhere completely different: Japan. I’m craving culture that sweeps me away, quiet streets, and mountain paths where I can listen for something new. As I plan the Golden Trail - with little detours to Lake Biwa and the nearby mountains - I’m also dreaming about energy work, how daily life feels there, and what it means to bring a small offering for the land itself.
This season of life finds me in transition again, where the universe seems to have wiped the slate completely clean and in my favor. I feel the energy of rebirth, renewal, adventure, and most of all, the opportunity to deepen and connect to my soul.
I anticipate Japan bringing this through food, tea, a quiet way of life, as well as the magic of worship and temples. I'm planning time in zazen and street food—is there a better way to live?
I guess if I was hoping for one thing on this trip, it's the same as them all: to be moved. I hope to connect to the land, to spirit, and to myself so that I may fully become all that I am. But I'll also welcome tips on the elixirs of life, enlightenment or spontaneously levitating - LOL.
Here's how it all played out...
